SAARPSCO adopted six overarching goals. |

- To better improve government interaction within the maritime region.
- To improve and increase industry-government maritime information sharing.
- To understand and communicate the needs of local, private sector communities when sharing threat information.
- Improve transparency and inclusiveness in policy development.
- To bring industry issues before the interagency bodies that coordinate government maritime policies.
- To empower the maritime community to employ its expertise and resources to improve supply chain security through innovative policing strategies based on global information sharing.

Objectives for 2011: |
- Establish SAARPSCO as an NGO
- Market SAARPSCO as the premier maritime community of South Asia and Africa.
- Engage with all maritime countries of South Asia and Africa and global maritime industries to become a member of SAARPSCO.
- Elect qualified Board of Director and Officer positions.
- Survey the current and emerging maritime safety and security issues throughout South Asia and Africa for committee to gather research and assign measurable actions.
- Continue to identify value added – return on investment initiative for the betterment of maritime community of SAARPSCO.
